| Over 20% of all timeshare reservations are currently made via the GDS, with an increasing percentage each year. If you are not currently using the GDS, you are leaving a great deal of money on the table. For example, if your average daily rate is $100, and the GDS generated only one reservation per week, you would increase revenue by $5,200 per year! If you can get one reservation at your timeshare per day, this would be $36,500 per year.
Over 50% of RDP's timeshare customers do not use the GDS. We suggest all customers try the GDS for a year and measure the results. The costs of signing up with RDP/GDS for a year are about $2500. Think of this as an advertisement in a magazine for your timeshare that runs every day for a year. The RDP system will track all revenue received from the GDS for that year on our "Source of Business" report. If you have generated more than $2500, renew the GDS for another year. |
